1959 Buffett Partnership Letter – Analysis & Key Takeaways

This week, I summarize the key takeaways from Warren Buffett’s 1959 letter to this limited partners from his Buffett Partnership days. Warren Buffett wrote letters to his partners to inform them about his though process, investments, performance, etc. The Buffett partnership letters help us get an idea of what Warren Buffett’s investment style was like back when he has small sums of money. In 1956, when he was just 25 years old, Warren Buffett formed Buffett Partnership. He started with $105,100 and 7 limited partners; Buffett himself put in $100. By the end of 1968, the overall gain of the partnership was $40,032,691. As of 2020, Warren Buffett’s net worth is $82.3 billion.
